Kitsap Monday Hikers

We've been around for 40 years.

We hike 52 Mondays a year, rain or shine.

We have three hikes each Monday: Walkers, Hikers & Mountain Goats.

You can expect to see about a dozen people on each hike (weather and season depending).

Walkers start at 9:30 and go for a few hours (about 5 miles).

Hikers start at 8am and hike in the Olympics with some elevation gain.

Mountain Goats hike the same trails as the Hikers, but maybe a little faster and farther.

 

Our rules are as few as possible and pretty simple:

1. We carpool and leave on time.

2. If you are the next to last car, wait for the last car (safety).

3. If you are the next to last hiker, wait for the last hiker (safety).

4. Pitch in $10 for your driver if you carpool.

5. Keep aware of and in contact with at least someone in the group (situational awareness).

6. A number of folks carry 2 way radios tuned to station 2.38.
