Goats' Notes: Mount Walker, January 10

The original plan was to hike the Elbo Creek trail up to Buck Mt. It was raining at the Poulsbo meeting place and Mark related a recent trip report for Elbo Creek that said there were multiple blowdowns that made passage very difficult. We decided that Mt. Walker would be a better choice. That turned out to be a good decision. We experienced little or no rain and the weather improved as the day went on. It was foggy and windy at the top with no views and walking between the too summits was on deep enough snow to require care to stay on the beaten track to avoid post holing.
