Obstruction Point Road on snowshoes, spikes & skis

The plan was to hike the Obstruction Point Road on snow. Recent weather had resulted in a very frozen walking surface with several inches of new powdery snow. Most of us chose to just use microspikes. Some used their snowshoes (it is a traditional snowshoe hike after all), One used skis. All methods worked well. Karen and I had lunch at the traditional lunch spot just below Steeple Rock. Most continued on for about another mile and a half for their lunch spot. Kathleen provided all of the photos from the longer hike. I tried to get the photos in the notes sequenced appropriately, but some may be out of order. It started out as a cold and stormy day and ended as a cold, but nice day. As usual the photos will tell the story best.
