Good morning everyone, We are heading into the darker, wetter (and soon snowier) season of hiking. That’s just the facts. As always, we will keep hiking through the dank & damp times. But a few extra precautions are a good idea. A few helpful hints: Make sure you have a headlamp with fresh batteries. Check that 2 way radio, tuned to channel 2.38. Pack an extra layer of warmth for just-in-case. Check your microspikes and tire chains before your head out. Carry ID and important medical info on you. I recommend wearing a RoadID bracelet. Karen and I both wear one.
