It isn't easy
Sometimes it feels like the seconds tiptoe by in slow motion. Then you look at your calendar and realize that May is halfway behind us. The birds are chirping outside my window around 5:30 these days & sunset is at 8 in the evening.
I hope at least some of you were able to get outside safely and enjoy summer this past weekend. It was HOT. Too hot for yard work for me. But I did get out to visit a new trail (for me) last Friday and found oyster mushrooms. They seems to be about anywhere you find fallen alder right now and are delicious.
Where have you been venturing with the gradual opening? Do any of you have any trail reports from state parks? Ron Kaplan & Paul Aussendorf shared some really good insights this past week. Hopefully the links below work.

Wendell Crim reports that the Larry Scott Trail to Port Townsend is open, with a taco truck at the boatyard. Bob Arper shared a lovely file but I can't get MP4 files to upload in MailChimp. Dave Leenstra suggests checking out Boot McFarland on Facebook (a hiking cartoon) and Out of the Mist for pictures of the Olympics Stay safe and keep smiling,
