Sayonara 2021 And just like that, we’ve made another trip around the sun. Time to work on all our New Year's resolutions! My goals for 2022 include celebrating my birthday in France if possible, hiking Cameron and Lost Pass, avoiding unnecessary risk, making a few more trips over to the Cascades, achieving 52 hikes for the 3rd straight year and enjoying trail time with as many of you as possible. Thank you all for being part of the Kitsap Monday Hikers! We keep on going, rain or shine, COVID or whatever. Here is what is planned for the coming Monday: Walkers: The Walkers will be walking the Illahee Preserve trails in Bremerton. Meet at the trailhead (address: 5474 Almira Dr NE, Bremerton, WA 98310) for a 10:00am start. Hikers: The Hikers will have the pleasure of hiking with Bruce Williams, leader, on another hike at Port Gamble. The map of the trail can be found on our website (link included below). They will depart from Poulsbo P&R lot at 8 am or meet at the trailhead at 8:30 am. Directions to trailhead from the P&R lot: Take Bond Rd. Turn left at the light onto Stottlemeyer Rd. Drive a little over a mile. Look for a large gravel parking lot on the east (right) side of the road. Mountain Goats: The Goats will ascend to the heights of Hurricane Hill. They will depart from the Poulsbo Viking Park & Ride at 7:30am. Based on the current forecast, snowshoes and every piece of thermal clothing you own are good ideas.
