And that means many of us are ready to hike. Thank you for your patience as we work through re-starting and all the usual Mailchimp, Sign Up Genius and just normal nonsense associated with notifying a group 600 folks about what is planned on Monday. If you aren’t regularly receiving an email or notice (or hear of someone who isn’t — because if you aren’t you probably don’t see this!!! — check your spam and promotions folders. Sometimes messages will end up there. If you haven’t asked to be in a Sign Up Genius group, then you won’t get an email from SUG but should still get a “regular” email and should hike if you want. And remember, the groups leave on time! If you’re five minutes late, just drive to the trailhead. You will likely meet people on the trail. And don’t forget to smile & take pictures! Here is what is planned for this Monday: Walkers: The Walkers are going to walk Banner Forest Heritage Park in Port Orchard. They will carpool at the Kitsap Mall (Silverdale Way side near Wild Wings and soon to be WinCo), departing at 9:30 or meet at the trailhead (address: 6451 Banner Rd SE, Port Orchard, WA 98367) about 10am to start. Hikers: The Hikers will hike Upper Dungeness Trail #833.3 Possible destinations include Camp Handy or Boulder Shelter. They will depart Poulsbo P&R at 8 am.
