The Time Has Arrived

A Really Big Deal

This is the moment we’ve been waiting for: we have three hikes for this coming Monday! Patti and I are still on our way back home, so accept apologies for any choppiness over the next few days (we get back Thursday). And please remember to register for your hike if you plan to join one using Sign Up Genius (you should receive a separate email invitation from SUG). For questions about the hikes, ask me (Goats), Linda (Hikers) or Pauline (Walkers). I will try to help with any Sign Up Genius questions, but remember: I’m on the road.

Here is what is planned for this week:

Walkers: The Walkers are hiking a portion of the Hansville Greenway Trail starting at Buck Lake County Park. They will carpool in Poulsbo at the North Viking Park.& Ride (in the very back by the wooden fence),departing at 9:30am or meet at the Buck Lake County Park parking lot (address 6959 Buck Lake Rd NE, Hansville, WA 98340) for a 10:00am start.

Hikers: The hikers will hike Lower Big Quilcene. A moderate hike with destinations to Camp Jolly or Notch Pass or anywhere in between. They will depart from the Poulsbo Viking Park & Ride station promptly at 8am.

Mountain Goats: The Goats will hike Mount Townsend from the Silver Creek Trailhead, departing from the Poulsbo Park & Ride at 8am. Microspikes might be a good safety item in your pack.
