We Survived the Bomb Cyclone

Good morning everyone, Patti, Bella, Milo & I headed to Kalaloch on Monday for a quick mid-week getaway. We had a grand time watching the wind blow, the waves crash and the rain fall! And of course, Bella chased & retrieved her frisbee to he heart’s content. We even found a new trail: The South Fork of the Hoh. It will remind you a whole lot of the Hall of Mosses, with one exception: no people! We were literally the only folks in the South Fork Campground. It was delightful. With plenty of driving time, we also delved into a new podcast: Renegades: Born in the USA. I caught a story about it on the CBS Morning Show. It has two guys (who happen to be named Bruce Springsteen and Barack Obama) sharing stories, driving cars and just talking about “stuff.” Check it out! Here is what is planned for the coming Monday: Walkers: The Walkers will hike Port Gamble Trails. They will meet at the Bay View Trailhead on Highway 104 South of Port Gamble at 10am. Hikers: The Hikers will hike Lena Lake. They will depart from the Poulsbo Viking Park & Ride at 8am. Mountain Goats: The Goats will hike Duckabush. They will depart from the Poulsbo Viking Park & Ride at 8am.
